A fee of 111 AED for the first service (seal for authentication) is charged for document services. Each additional service/seal provided at the same time in connection with the same transactions costs 74 AED.
Notarials: The Consulate Consular Section provides notarial services, including acknowledgements, powers of attorney, and affidavits. Please note that this service is available to American citizens or to citizens of other countries who require notarial services for documents to be used in the United States.
Authentications: Documents must first be authenticated by the U.S. Department of State before the Consulate General can authenticate them. If you would like to complete the authentication process yourself, please carefully follow the instructions for Authentication of Credentials from the U.S. We recommend that U.S. citizens authenticate their documents (especially marriage, birth, and educational certificates) in the U.S. before coming to the U.A.E.
Emirates Post provides a service to authenticate degrees for employment visa purposes. For information pleased contact Emirates Post.
Vital Records: Each U.S. state has its own procedures for requesting vital records (records of birth, death, marriage, and divorce). Please visit the National Center for Health Statistics website for more information on Where to Write for Vital Records
