United Airlines celebrates the inauguration of its new service from Dubai to Washington, DC
October 27, 2008 – Consul General Paul Sutphin joined Jamal Al Hai, Senior Vice President, Strategy, Dubai Airports; Paul Griffiths, Dubai Airports CEO; Scott Dolan, United’s Senior Vice President of Airport Operations, Cargo and United Express; and Mohammed Abdulla Ahli, Director General of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and CEO of Air Traffic Services, as United Airlines inaugurated its new service from Dubai to Washington D.C.
To mark the occasion, Mr. Sutphin said “United's new direct service between Dubai and Washington, D.C. is a very welcome new option in travel between the UAE and the United States. It also serves to confirm the growing importance of Dubai as a destination, and as a regional and global hub that is being used by an increasing number of American travelers."
